PRESS ON PEOPLE January 5, 2010

Filed under: DANIEL FAST 2010 — Jorge Martinez @ 7:58 pm

Headaches, weariness, cravings, anybody cranky?

Press On People… that’s just our bodies showing us how addicted we are to caffeine and sweets… I promise it goes away and you’ll feel much batter after the first few days. Until it fades, press in and lets use the pain and the cravings to push us further towards the Father… These days of the fast actually make me feel guilty at times because we have the option to actually refrain from the king’s delicacies (sweets and flavored drinks, meats) while there are people all over the world who wouldn’t know what to do with all the food we ARE actually eating during this fast. What we consider sacrifice more than half of the world will go to sleep tonight with much less. it makes me grateful for the vegetables that we might not be too crazy about and for the peanuts and cranberries that we’re already getting sick of… So press on people – walk in gratitude because we GET TO fast and are not forced to..

Thank you Father for everything that you have supplied for us – please accept this small sacrifice on our part as our way of saying THANK YOU and telling you that without your sustenance all the food in the world would not satisfy…

So Press On my People,

Pastor Jorge

Here’s a picture of tonights dinner, Fried Rice with veggies, black beans and avocado… hardly a sacrifice at all !

Last Night and most of today was horrible. I think it was an allergic reaction to soy milk. Today I tried almond milk and it was much better.

So for breakfast: Farina (w/almond milk & raw sugar)
lunch: PB&J (w/natural pb, organic jelly, & whole wheat bread)
dinner: brown rice, pink beans, & parsleyed potatoes

Still have a headache but I know it’ll subside soon. Trying to remain focused.

    Stay Encouraged!
    Stacey

wow, your dish looks way better than what i’ve been eating. but i’m not complaining anymore. the severe headache i’ve had for the past 2-1/2 days — from lack of caffeine — has finally subsided. not once did i take tylenol for it. been reading the bible more, been singing more “coritos” and pressing on. this morning, the whole wheat toast i ate didn’t seem like a sacrifice. today is a good day. thank you God!

Pastor J that dinner plate of your looks amazing, but yes the peanuts and dry cranberries are not tasting as good as they did the 1rst day around. =) i am really enjoying my mornings I’ve been keeping my house completely silent so that i may catch up on readings and listen to soul filling music. In result i had an amazing day @ work yesterday, it really makes a difference how you start your days.

    god is good
no off to decided what to have for breakfast
